Hope

If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with cancer, I recommend you visit the American Cancer Society’s website at www.cancer.org.

The site is packed with information.  There is a cancer glossary, so you will understand the terms you will hear at your doctor visits. The site includes information about arranging transportation to and from chemo and radiation therapy if you are unable to do so on your own; numerous support groups to help you cope; suggested ways to stay healthy; and even beauty tips to use during treatments.  Don’t neglect to reach out, help is just a click or a phone call away.

In adddition to reaching out to your local church for spiritual assistance, you can contact Catholic Charities at www.catholiccharitiesusa.org.
