Joan Aubele was born and raised in Chicago. After sixty-one years of living in the Midwest, husband Carl and her pulled up roots and moved to the quant sailing community of Oriental, North Carolina. They’ve raised three daughters, and to date, have five grandchildren

“I am neither a sports superstar, nor a Hollywood actor.  I haven’t set any world records, nor have I won the Nobel Peace Prize.  I am simply an ordinary woman who has lived an extraordinary life filled with many miracles which need to be shared.

My Book “The Dance” has been written with the sole intention of stressing the importance of living one’s life to the fullest – to appreciate everything around you, and to live for one another each and every day!
